Yes, on a sad note, got word from Soroni that my little friend and adopted child, Adis, who was also know by the name diablo, was run over by a car and died… you lived life to the full, and we loved you for it. RIP.

Back in the Athenian burbs post-’rodos joy’ and have found myself doing a lot of nothing… literally!

Forced outside by a blackout last sunday, we decided with my cousin and her boyfriend to go to the park around the corner and have a mini picnic… wog-style!

Korrakas beach below… hard to find (think- pass the old silk factory and turn down the dirt track lined with trees drive a find a sign which has korrakas on the back of it… etc.) Almost deserted and fine sand and crystal clear water…

Then there was that crazy night at Parfuto… of which i can only show the tame shots (there are some gold shots of Roberta who was a whole party on her own!- but i’m sure she’d kill me if i posted them!). We weren’t there for that long, but we lived it up- drinks, dancing, and lots of free shots- from our waiter, me and george’s cousin who owns the bar, and shots from the dj cos we were obviously enjoying his music selection!

The ceremonial planting of the pomegranate tree that came via Lebanon, through Australia and over to Greece in my aunt Flora’s suitcase (when she surprised us all for a quick one week visit- thats George’s mum by the way- and owner of the house that has made us all so happy). Hopefully by the next time we are all there, it will be ladden with pomegranates, which we can make our pomigranita’s with… (for you in particular, Kyri)

easiest way to return from Amorgos was via Santorini… stayed in Oia where the famous sunset hapens, found a great and well priced pension on the cliff face with amazing views of the caldera (volcano opposite Santorini). Took some picture postcard shots, and our extravegant stop over turned into a very cheap one, which included 2euro gyro’s for dinner and a spanakopita (spinach pie) for brekkie.

Yep, disappeared again, in order to take a holiday away from the holiday! Travelled to Amorgos and Santorini for a couple of days, to see in Luke’s 30th birthday. Amorgos is a hilarious place, but is absolutely awesome- is full of greek hippy’s and has a great chilled vibe, very similar to Byron Bay- not too touristy, great places to eat and drink and a beautiful views. Apart from having to change rooms every night due in part to our laziness in not booking accomm sooner, but also in part to the way places run there to accommodate for the hippy mentality (hotels don’t seem to ask for check out dates and its all up to when someone feels like leaving…?!).

the view from a little boat that took us to the beach

We spent many a night and afternoon at hippy bar DISCOtheQUE, also known as mimi’s (…its a play on words)… equiped with a sandy pit with seats and tables, bare-foot waitrers and waitresses, a hippy lighting a fire… and a beach front setting. A place that only took off at about 5pm when the hippy’s woke up, or after 3am when the party started…

Lukey’s birthday saw us stuffed full and merry…

Not sure whats happening to me… might have a few friends drop off after seeing these pictures. Another panigiri (local festival), another set of BB Guns for the boys. One ”try” and i was hooked! My new name should be trigger-happy… and the worry is that i haven’t even got to the US yet…

More suss activities later that night with Texas Hold-em poker- which i roared through, winning with the biggest stash of one and two cent coins that we used for chips… Vegas here i come….  This is before i started reaping in the cashola (all part of my strategy?!).
